ORAL LANGUAGE PROGRAMME
At St Mary's we provide an Oral Language Programme for 4 year olds. Parents are invited to be a part of the learning journey as their children prepare for their schooling years at St Mary's. Every 2nd Tuesday the programme is held in Room 1 and led by Mrs Karen McChlery (New Entrant/Year 1 Teacher).
PLAYBASED LEARNING

Playbased learning occurs from 9.10 - 10.15am in our Junior school - Rooms 1 and 2. Room 3 join us on a Friday morning to learn, discover and play.
Our play-based approach endeavours to involve both child initiated and teacher supported learning.
We, the teachers, encourage children’s learning and inquiry through interactions that aim to stretch their thinking to higher levels.
We also aim to bring the child’s awareness towards mathematics, science and literacy concepts, allowing them to engage with such concepts through hands-on learning.
